Shunts Calculator

We use shunt calibration to determine the relationship between a predetermined resistance change or simulated strain in one arm of the bridge circuit and the instrument output signal level or display.

To do this we first shunt the active strain gauge with a precision calibration resistor. We then use the calculated equivalent strain in the strain gauge to scale or verify the instrument output.
